Founder, Writer, Entrepreneur & Observer of People

Some people build careers around a single profession.

Mine has been built around a single question.

Why do people looking at the same life reach completely different conclusions?

That question has taken me across engineering, entrepreneurship, hospitality, software, writing, television, and conversations with thousands of people from around the world. It has led me to build businesses, lose businesses, start over, welcome hundreds of travelers through CasaJOMO, interview hospitality owners preparing for retirement, and design tools that help people make better decisions.

Today, that work comes together through Insyte Labs—a creative studio where ideas become books, software, games, businesses, and television.

Different mediums.

One purpose.

To help people better understand themselves, one another, and the decisions that shape their lives.

The Journey That Led Here

I believe every meaningful idea deserves the medium that communicates it best.

Some ideas become memoirs.

Some become essay collections.

Some become novels.

Some become television.

Some become software.

Some become games.

Some become businesses.

Every project begins the same way—with careful observation of real people, real conversations, and real problems.

Writing
I write across memoir, essays, commercial fiction, and television.

Au-delà du travail
Known as Day to family and friends, I've traveled to more than 40 countries and nearly 200 cities, experiences that continue to shape my curiosity about people, cultures, and the many ways we define home.

An engineer by training with a lifelong appreciation for architecture, fashion, food, history, music, and design, I'm fascinated by the intersection of analytical thinking and human experience.

My multicultural background and globally mobile life continue to inspire both my writing and the businesses I build.
Speaking & Conversations

Whether you discover my work through a book, a piece of software, a television series, a business, or a conversation over breakfast at CasaJOMO, I hope you leave with something more valuable than answers.

A better question.

Because the most meaningful journeys rarely begin when we find certainty.

They begin when we're willing to see ourselves—and one another—from a different perspective.
