Nachdem ich in verschiedenen Ländern gelebt und in den Bereichen Ingenieurwesen, Unternehmertum, Gastgewerbe und Kreativwirtschaft gearbeitet hatte, faszinierte mich eine Frage:
Warum kommen Menschen, die dasselbe Leben betrachten, zu völlig unterschiedlichen Schlussfolgerungen?
Diese Frage wurde zur Grundlage all meines Handelns.
Ob ich schreibe, Vorträge halte, Seminare veranstalte oder Gäste in casaJOMO willkommen heiße – meine Arbeit befasst sich mit Identität, Zugehörigkeit, Sinn, Neuerfindung und den Geschichten, die wir darüber erben, wie ein sinnvolles Leben aussehen sollte.
The Journey That Led Here
Life rarely followed the map I imagined.
Each unexpected turn became an invitation to question assumptions—about success, home, resilience, freedom, and even identity itself.
Over time I realized that some of the most important transformations don't come from having the right answers. They come from asking better questions.
That realization inspired both Maps & Mirrors, my conversation retreat series, and my forthcoming memoir, A BEAUTIFUL LIFE, MISUNDERSTOOD.

Dacia, von Familie und Freunden Day genannt, hat bereits über 40 Länder und 190 Städte bereist. Diese Erfahrungen prägen bis heute ihre Neugier auf Menschen, Kulturen und die vielfältigen Arten, wie wir Heimat definieren. Als Gastgeberin eines Boutique-Hotels in Rio de Janeiro empfängt sie nun Gäste aus aller Welt, wo anregende Gespräche oft am gemeinsamen Tisch beginnen.
Als studierte Ingenieurin mit einer lebenslangen Leidenschaft für Kunst, Geschichte, Architektur, Mode, Design und Musik verbindet sie analytisches Denken mit kreativer Entfaltung. Ihre multikulturelle und multiethnische Herkunft sowie ihr international geprägtes Leben inspirieren weiterhin sowohl ihr Schreiben als auch ihre Retreats.

Dacia is the author of A BEAUTIFUL LIFE, MISUNDERSTOOD (forthcoming), a literary memoir exploring identity, belonging, reinvention, and the gap between the stories people tell and the lives we actually live.
She is also the creator of Maps & Mirrors, a conversation retreat series exploring identity, belonging, purpose, and meaningful human connection through guided discussions and reflection.
She is also developing Guess the Intentions, an interactive conversation game exploring assumptions, motivations, and perspective through real-world social scenarios.
In addition, she has completed Permission Withdrawn, a one-hour serialized television drama exploring motherhood, institutional power, and survival across legal systems.
